Neuromuscular Therapy

30 minutes: $45
60 minutes: $80
90 minutes: $110

Neuromuscular therapy is a system of massage techniques that were developed in the 1930's by Dr. Stanley Lief in England. It uses a holistic approach towards healing, emphasizing and stimulating the body's natural ability to heal itself. Neuromuscular therapy also enhances the function of joints and muscles, and accelerates the overall healing process by facilitating the release of endorphins. This modality entails using deepening compressions on ischemic (knotted) areas in order to release the muscles and nerves that are being affected by lack of proper circulation.  When neuromuscular work is done a comfort scale of 1-10 is utilized (staying in the mid-range) to ensure optimum pain relief without overstimulation.

Hot Stone Therapy

30 minutes: $50
60 minutes: $90
90 minutes: $120

Hot Stone Therapy is a style of massage where heated stones are placed at specific sites on your body to deepen relaxation and promote circulation in your muscles. Stones are also used as massage tools and are moved in gliding strokes over all of the stress-holding areas of the body.  Muscles that are heated with these stones release tension and stress much more deeply and quickly than with a traditional massage. The overall experience is very relaxing, nurturing, and rejuvenating.

Pediatric Massage

30 minutes: $45

Working with children requires the right pressure and the ability to interact well with the child. A 30 minute session is usually best for children ages infant to 10 years of age. At age 11 I will consider a 60 minute session as needed. My specialty is working with those children affected with ADD/ADHD. I also bring parents into the session to train them to work with their child at home between sessions at no extra charge. 15 minute sessions are also available upon request.

Deep Tissue Massage

30 minutes: $45
60 minutes: $80
90 minutes: $110

Deep Tissue Massage is a form of bodywork that aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body. Deep Tissue Massage is a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries. Due to the nature of the deep tissue work, open communication during the session is crucial to make sure you don't get too uncomfortable. Keep in mind that soreness is pretty common after the treatment, and that plenty of water should be ingested to aid with the flushing and removal of toxins that will have been released from the deep tissue during the session.  This modality is sometimes referred to as Sports Massage and incorporates some stretching as well.
